Drive for 100 minutes from Cebu City, going through scenic SRP (South Road Properties: this is the site of major projects like SM City, Filinvest, Big Foot and more) a sea-reclamation project that directly connects central Cebu City to Talisay City and the town of Minglanilla. Turn right at the Shell Gas Station after the Church and the City Hall of Naga City. From there you are about 60 minutes to TAUHAI. Before that, you will pass through Lutopan, the mine-site of Atlas Mines (now Carmen Copper), once the biggest Copper Mine in the Far East. Park for a while and view the open-pit mine from a vantage point. As you travel again, be careful; although asphalt-covered, some sections of the road in Lutopan tend to sink a few centimeters. It is believed that there are mine-pits deep underground that cause this. Go through Toledo City. You might try their famous lechon manok and liempo (of course partnered with "puso" or "hanging rice"). After a few minutes, you'll reach Bato, the last Barangay of Toledo City (landmark: Bato Catholic Church on the left, and Bato Aglipayan Church on the right). Sitio Bulubugan of Barangay Tajao, the first barangay of Pinamungajan, comes immediately after Bato. Watch out for the TAUHAI sign on your right.
Location
Tauhai is in Sitio Bulubugan, Barangay Tajao, Municipality of Pinamungajan, Island of Cebu (West Coast), Philippines. It is 7 kms. south of Toledo City, and 8 kms. north of Pinamungajan. Nestled in a beachfront property, it sits facing Kanlaon volcano in Negros Island, across the famous Tanon Strait.
